Rain, Rain Go Away!  14th Annual NetFest Brightens Stormy Day

April 21, 2016

Starkey Ranch - 14th Annual NetFest
We woke on the morning of Thursday, April 8 to the news of heavy storms—and even a possible tornado—working their way across the site of NetFest 2016. Yet, despite Mother Nature’s best efforts to dampen our spirits, she only left us with a field of soggy soil. After some last-minute adjustments to our original parking plan, the 14th Annual NetFest kicked off splendidly with very little “hitch in our giddy-up!” 14th Annual NetFest - networkingBefore the evening was through, nearly 300 community and business leaders had passed through the two large tents situated on the site of the future Starkey Ranch Business Park. Decked out in their finest Western wear, they enjoyed an evening of informal networking while sampling chili recipes from ten sponsor-participants taking part in the 6th Annual Chili Cook-Off. 6th Annual Chili Cookoff - NetFest 2016 As usual, the competition was fierce. When all the ballots were counted, only one vote separated the winner from the rest of the pack. Hearty congratulations go out to the Florida Capital Bank team who emerged on top to accept the “Pasco’s Best Chili” trophy, presented by Pasco Economic Development Council's new President/CEO, Bill Cronin.
